Omi recording workflow

Give wearable moments a home outside one wearable ecosystem.

Omi presents itself as an open-source AI wearable for hands-free conversation capture. Rintori takes a different role: it is a place to bring supported audio from the tools you choose, keep the original evidence and revisit related moments across time.

Omi AI wearable recorder

Where each part fits

01

The recorder

Omi focuses on wearable, hands-free capture and an extensible device ecosystem.

02

Rintori

Rintori is a useful downstream layer when you want imported wearable audio to meet journal entries, meetings, projects and source-linked questions.

03

Connection to Rintori

Export required. There is no Omi account sync or device pairing. Check the export options available in your Omi app before relying on this workflow.

How to bring the recording into Rintori

Three checkable steps. No implied integration between the lines.

  1. 01

Finish the capture in Omi and check whether your app exposes an audio export.

  2. 02

Export a supported file without altering the original, then upload it to Rintori.

  3. 03

Review capture time and provenance in Rintori, especially when the exported file lacks reliable metadata.

What this combination is useful for

Existing Omi users who can export audio and value a separate evidence-preserving archive.

Wearable-to-journal

File a deliberate personal reflection as a journal entry while keeping the source recording intact.

Open ecosystem, separate archive

Use Omi for capture and Rintori as an independent place for recordings you explicitly export.

Evidence over ambient inference

Rintori does not score personality or infer sensitive traits from the recording.

What Rintori adds after capture

  • One timeline for imported and browser-recorded audio
  • Original audio preserved separately from transcripts and AI output
  • Source-linked answers that take you back to the recorded moment
  • Tasks, calendar entries and speaker identities remain suggestions until you confirm

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Rintori integrate directly with Omi?

No. Omi is a conditional file workflow: an import is possible only when you can export a supported audio file from your Omi setup.

Can Rintori import an Omi transcript without audio?

Not as a normal recording. Rintori's evidence model requires canonical audio; a transcript alone is not treated as if the original recording were present.

Why use both Omi and Rintori?

Omi can remain your capture device while Rintori provides a device-independent timeline and source-linked memory for the audio you choose to export.
