Terms of use
General terms for the use of Rintori.
Last updated:
1. Scope, provider and conclusion of contract
These terms apply to the use of Rintori (the “service”). The contracting service provider is Cao Hung Nguyen; the complete contact details are in the legal notice.
You submit an offer to conclude a free usage contract by completing registration and accepting these terms. The contract is concluded when we confirm registration and allow you to use the service. The terms are available to view and save before registration and remain available through the footer and Account settings.
Rintori is currently an early-access product under active development. These terms apply to consumers and to natural persons acting for purposes connected with their trade or profession. Mandatory consumer-protection law always takes precedence.
2. Service and availability
- The service lets you record, upload or import supported audio, preserve the original, create transcripts and derived views, search your memories, and review AI-generated answers and suggestions. The interface shows which features and provider limits are actually available.
- The current Free plan includes 300 transcription minutes per month. Processing may pause when an allowance or a disclosed provider limit is reached; stored content remains accessible unless a technical or legal restriction prevents access.
- We may perform maintenance and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We provide security updates and the statutory remedies for digital products; these rights are not restricted by the early-access label.
3. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account is intended for one person. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- The service is designed for individual use. Contact us before using it systematically on behalf of an organisation; depending on the circumstances, a separate data processing agreement may be required.
4. Your content and recordings
You keep your rights in the content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive right, limited to the duration and purpose of the contract, to store, reproduce and process that content only as needed to provide the service and to involve the recipients named in the privacy policy. The right ends when the content is deleted, subject to lawful retention and technically necessary backup cycles.
- Upload content only if you are entitled to record it and to have it stored, transcribed, analysed and indexed.
- Recording a non-public conversation without authorisation may be a criminal offence in Germany under § 201 StGB. Obtain every consent or other legal basis required for recording and subsequent processing.
- Do not submit content that infringes copyright, personality, confidentiality, data-protection or other third-party rights.
- Deleting a source also removes dependent data as described in the privacy policy; export anything you need before deleting your account.
5. Acceptable use
You may not, and may not permit others to:
- record covertly, or record people who have a right not to be recorded;
- upload or distribute unlawful content, including content infringing copyright or trademarks, hate speech, depictions of violence, or sexual content involving minors;
- use the service for lie detection, emotion scoring, medical or psychological diagnosis, workplace performance monitoring, monitoring of students, or social scoring — the product is not built for these and must not be presented as such;
- upload personal data of identifiable third parties without a lawful basis;
- use the service or its output to train, fine-tune or distil a competing AI model;
- reverse engineer, decompile or scrape the service, or circumvent rate limits, authentication or access controls;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the service or its output for a fee without a separate written agreement with us;
- use the service for activities that breach German law — in particular BGB, UrhG, DDG, TDDDG, BDSG, UWG — or mandatory EU rules such as the AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), the Digital Services Act or the GDPR.
6. AI output and suggestions
- AI output is produced by third-party models and can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased or out of date. Check it before relying on it, in particular for academic, medical, legal, financial or professional decisions. We warrant neither its accuracy nor its fitness for a particular purpose.
- Generated and derived content is labelled in the interface as a transparency measure and remains separate from the preserved source evidence.
- Suggestions stay suggestions. Tasks, calendar entries, exports and speaker identities are created only when you confirm them. Something said out loud in a recording authorises nothing.
- Your original audio and transcript are never overwritten by generated output.
- Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights where the digital service is defective.
7. Free plan and future paid offers
- Public Pro sales are currently closed. Registration creates a Free account and does not create a payment obligation or an automatically renewing subscription.
- If paid plans are offered later, the order screen will state the total price, billing interval, minimum duration, renewal and cancellation terms before you place a binding order. No charge is made without your explicit order.
- Any applicable consumer withdrawal information and electronic withdrawal or cancellation function will be provided separately when a paid distance contract is offered.
8. Statutory rights and liability
Your statutory rights concerning the provision and conformity of digital products, including the rights under §§ 327 et seq. BGB where applicable, remain unaffected. Please report a defect so that we can restore conformity within a reasonable period.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, fraudulently concealed defects, guarantees expressly given, and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable for breach of a material contractual obligation only, and only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Liability under mandatory law, including the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.
The service is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of recordings that matter to you.
9. Rights complaints and unlawful use
If you believe content in the service infringes your rights, write to Email address: hung, at, theaiwhisperer, dot, de with the affected content or account, a description of the right infringed, your contact details and evidence of your entitlement. We review substantiated notices and take the measures required by applicable law.
We may restrict or remove unlawful content after review. Serious or manifestly unlawful use and security threats may be acted on immediately. Where required by law, we explain a restriction and the available review route.
10. Changes, term and termination
- The free usage contract runs for an indefinite period. You may terminate it at any time by deleting your account; no notice period applies to you.
- We may ordinarily terminate a free account on 14 days' notice. The right of either party to terminate for good cause remains unaffected. We may temporarily restrict an account where reasonably necessary to investigate a serious breach, protect security or comply with law, and will explain the measure where legally permitted.
- We may change the service for a valid reason, including security, legal or technical requirements, changes to external providers, interoperability, or a genuine improvement. A change creates no additional charge. We inform you clearly; if it materially impairs access or use, we give advance notice on a durable medium and explain any statutory right to terminate under § 327r BGB.
- Changes to these terms require your agreement unless they are required by law or are solely beneficial to you. We notify you before material changes take effect. Silence or continued use alone does not constitute consent.
- Before account deletion, export content you still need. Deletion and limited legal retention are described in the privacy policy.
11. Governing law, dispute resolution and contact
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected. Where you are a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the operator's seat in Germany. Consumers keep their statutory venue under §§ 12 ff. ZPO and Art. 17 ff. Brussels I bis.
If a provision is not incorporated or is ineffective, the contract otherwise remains effective and the statutory rule applies in its place (§ 306 BGB). We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board unless a legal duty applies in an individual case.
